The MakerBot Replicator 2 makes solid, 3-D objects out of melted filament. Which with your 3D design are translated into instructions for the MakerBot and to sent into the machine via USB cable or through SD card. Then the MakerBot Replicator 2 heats the filament and being squeezed out through a nozzle to make a solid object layer by layer.

- Install the building plate by fitting the tab in the build plate between two pegs at the front of the platform.
- The Extruder should be let loose by cutting a small plastic piece attached which prevents it by moving.
- Install the filament tube by connecting one end into the hole at the top of the extruder and push the tube as much as you can. Insert the other end of filament into the left tube holder.
- Install the spool holder by tilting it and inserting the square end into the left side opening on the back.
- Mount the filament spool that fits the spool into the spool holder.
- Attach the USB cable( insert USB cable into the USB -B port on the back)
- Attach the power supply into the power input on the back of the MakerBot.
- Powering the MakerBot. Set the power switch on the back to on which then the Makerbot will display a welcome text which is the beginning of the set up to your design.
